Cauthen & Associates provides planning and management services to public housing authorities including preparing annual grant applications, performing administrative and management services of design projects, conducting energy audits and utility allowance studies, federal reporting, and preparing design documents for modernization or new construction.

Cauthen & Associates provides architectural design services to both public and private sector clients. We have worked on various types of projects including retirement communities, public housing, municipal, commercial, institutional, industrial, and educational facilities. We also conduct ADA studies and feasibility studies.

McMinnville Housing Authority
C&A’s green/energy retrofit design efforts brought McMinnville Housing Authority’s oldest development into compliance with the International Energy Conservation Code and saved the PHA over $30,000 annually in water, sewer and electricity costs. This design model received the 2013 “Tennessee’s Best” Award from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency in the “Best in Innovation” category.Murfreesboro Housing Authority
C&A’s redevelopment design for Murfreesboro Housing Authority’s Parkside project not only transformed a declining neighborhood into a thriving community, but also received NAHRO’s 2013 National Award of Merit and the 2013 Award of Excellence in Housing and Community Development.
